How to report a violation and what happens next · Effective September 25, 2026

Reporting a post
Every thread, reply and direct message has “Report” in its “…” menu.
- Pick a reason — spam, scam, abuse, off-topic, illegal or other — and the report goes to the moderators’ queue.
- One open report per post per person; there’s no need to repeat it.

Scammers
Describe a deal gone wrong in the Check registry — with evidence.
- The entry becomes visible to everyone once moderators have checked the evidence. The forum isn’t an arbiter, though: it doesn’t return money.

Rights violations
Rights holders, and anyone whose personal data was posted without consent, write to Appeals.
- Give the link to the post, which right is violated and how you can show it, and how to reach you.
- Appeals are written from an account; if you don’t have one, signing up is free and takes a minute.

What happens next
Section moderators or the forum team review the report.
- If the violation is confirmed, the post is hidden or removed, the author is notified with the reason, and repeat violations bring restrictions under the Rules.
- If the violation is confirmed, you get a notification. Moderators’ actions are recorded in the moderation log.

If your post was removed
If you disagree with a decision, write to the team in Appeals.
- The whole forum team sees the appeal, not only whoever made the decision.

Urgent
Threats to life, child sexual abuse material, other people’s documents and addresses — report them with the “Illegal” reason.
- The team sees such reports separately from the rest, and the material is removed as soon as it’s confirmed.
